| ROCK ON getting lucrative! |

 After the trailer of Abhishek Kapoor's directorial venture ROCK ON starring Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli, Sahana Goswami and Luke Kenny in leads was shown with SARKAR RAJ screenings last week, the film is gaining an important eye from trade circles.
According to the latest buzz there have been a lot of distributors and business houses whose interest in the film has zoomed. It is heard that the makers Excel Entertainment have received various new offers for all rights of the film with the offered figure going as high as 45 crores. For a film with relatively new faces (apart from Arjun Rampal) and DIL CHAHTA HAI fame director Farhan Akhtar making his 'debut' as an 'actor', it's a nice sign for everyone associated with the film.

 Arjun Rampal has learnt his lessons the hard way. After the debacle of I See You, his first film as producer, he is taking all the precautions while turning a director.
With his new found success with films such as Om Shanti Om and Don and powerful pal Shah Rukh's big support, Rampal is gearing to launch himself as a director in a big way.

 After speculations, it is finally revealed that Priyanka Chopra has been signed to play the lead again opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Farhan Akhtar's Don 2. Not just Priyanka, even Arjun Rampal and Boman Irani have been signed on to play key roles in the film.
We contacted producer Ritesh Sidhwani, who confirmed the news. He said, "Yes Priyanka has been signed opposite Shah Rukh in Don 2. It is a sequel obviously and when we locked the story and the screenplay, we knew that we needed Priyanka for the film. Similarly, we have also signed on Boman Irani and Arjun Rampal."

 What's common to macho man Sunny Deol and handsome hunk-cum-model, Arjun Rampal? Well, for a start, they both are feeling very confident after their resounding comebacks in 2007. While Sunny fired two salvos in the form of FOOL N FINAL and APNE, Arjun Rampal walked away with a lot of praise for his suave negative act in OM SHANTI OM. However, the similarity does not end there.
Sunny Deol has just completed Subhash Ghai's RIGHT YA WRONG with stars like Irrfan Khan and Konkana Sen Sharma for company and has also completed Samir Karnik's HEROES! On the other hand Arjun too is working with Irrfan Khan and Konkona Sen Sharma in MERIDIAN and has just completed his next film, ROCK ON and is quite kicked about his role, that of a guitarist!

 Bengali filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh, who worked with Arjun Rampal in his English language film “Last Lear”, has discovered that the actor is an amazing photographer. “Arjun is a fabulous photographer. I didn’t know this until we shot together. While shooting I suddenly saw Arjun with his camera snapping me at candid moments.”
At first, Ghosh was taken aback because he felt he was being constantly watched by Arjun.
“He’d creep up from nowhere and click me… all candid pictures. At first, I was a little alarmed. But then I saw what Arjun had shot. I was amazed! Arjun has a great sense of framing and colour. He’ll make a terrific director, I’m sure of that. In fact, I think he’d make a better director than an actor.”

 While Shah Rukh Khan being present for the opening IPL match at Bangalore was a foregone conclusion, what surprised many at the stadium and those who were watching it on telly was the presence of Arjun Rampal.
The two actors have bonded well ever since they were seen in DON and OM SHANTI OM. While Arjun was also there for a guest appearance in KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA, King Khan too obliged by appearing for a blink-and-you-would-miss performance in Arjun's home production I SEE YOU.
